This year as I celebrate turning a half century in June, I am looking forward to running the New York City Half Marathon in support of Team Sharsheret.  (Two years ago you probably supported my running with Team Sharsheret in the Nautica NYC Triathlon)  By the time I run this race, it will be the six year anniversary of my being diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Since that time, I have become more involved in Sharsheret and agreed this year to join its Board of Directors.  Sharsheret has educational and support programs for those newly diagnosed and for survivors-both with regard to Breast Cancer and Ovarian Cancer.

Milestones are important and this is one way in which I will celebrate my 50th.  Since my diagnosis, I have been blessed to celebrate two Bat Mitzvahs and Ed's 50th last year.   In addition to Ed, my running buddy, Dina Markson (whose husband Andy was my "cancer quarterback" ) will also be running with me.  I would love you to join me or if not, support my run by donating to Sharsheret.
