This will be my first marathon EVER and I am ready to rock it out. I have always made working out a part of my daily life. At this time in my life I want to give back by physically working hard as an example to my three children Cayla, Ethan & Sage and for myself as a strong healthy and fearless woman. Seeing Cayla, my 9 year olds face light up with pride when she found out I would be running to raise money for Sharsheret made me feel so proud. Getting involved reminds me not to sweat the small stuff because I am lucky with what I have in my life.
As a young 21 year old I faced an emergency surgery to remove an ovarian tumor. I was always thankful for regaining my health back and having my three amazing children. However, I never did anything to be thankful. Now I will seize the moment and run with Team Sharsheret. To be able to race for women part of Sharsheret reminds me how strong I am as an individual. Doing something for someone else is truly a rewarding experience and I look forward to it. The support from family and friends means so much to me but most of all to Sharsheret. Please support me in the cause that helps so many women all over the country.
