Sharsheret will present the Symposium “Hormones and Breast Cancer: Through Treatment and Beyond.” Topics will include staying current on new hormonal treatments for breast cancer, managing the side effects of estrogen deprivation in breast cancer survivors, the impact of hormones during pregnancy on breast cancer, and the effect of nutrition and exercise on hormones in the body. With current research connecting hormone replacement therapy and breast cancer risk, younger women face critical concerns and decisions that a panel of experts will address at this important event.

Sharsheret will join thousands of women and men gathering in New York City's Central Park to participate in the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, a monumental breast cancer fundraising and awareness event. Sharsheret will join thousands of women and men gathering in New York City's Central Park to participate in the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation's Race for the Cure, a monumental breast cancer fundraising and awareness event. Team Sharsheret will meet at 8:30 a.m. on Race Day on the northeast corner of 74th Street and Central Park West for a Team Sharsheret photo. The Race will begin at 9:00 a.m.
