We know, this isn’t how you normally prepare for Rosh Hashanah. We know, you’re too tired to face the shopping, the cooking, the cleaning, and don’t want to put on a happy face in front of company. We know, you don’t want to disappoint your family. We know you’re not looking forward to going to synagogue, to answering questions, to telling people your diagnosis. We know, we understand, we’ve been there. Join Sharsheret Supports Partner, Jewish Family Service of Bergen and North Hudson to discuss how to make a holiday when you don’t feel like celebrating.

Wednesday, September 21, 2016 - 1:00pm

Join Sharsheret and the Morris I Franco Community Cancer Center as we present The Value of An Everyday Moment. Celebrating the holidays while facing cancer can be difficult. We strive to make holidays a time of joy, family togetherness, and deep introspection and that effort can feel overwhelming. Join Sharsheret’s Shera Dubitsky to learn how to reduce the pressures of the holiday season. Coping mechanisms include being in the moment without planning for the moment, recognizing that holiday and family time don’t need to be lavish events, accessing spirituality and much more.
