Elana Silber, MBA, Executive Director, is a graduate of the Mount Sinai Hospital/CUNY Masters in Business Administration Program. She joined the organization as a volunteer and has been a staff member since 2003. Elana has overall strategic and operational responsibility for Sharsheret’s staff, programs, and growth nationwide.
Briana Schwarz, Florida Office Regional Director, is a graduate of the University of Florida. Briana manages day-to-day operations of Sharsheret’s Florida regional office and coordinates education and outreach efforts and collaborations with local Jewish, cancer, and college campus organizations.
Shera Dubitsky, MEd, MA, Director of Navigation and Support Services, is a graduate of Columbia University and a doctoral candidate of Adelphi University Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies. Shera supports and connects newly diagnosed young women and those at high risk of developing breast cancer or ovarian cancer with suitable peer supporters, advances and develops programs addressing the unique needs of the young women and families of Sharsheret, counsels individual members of the Embrace program, and facilitates its monthly support group teleconferences.
Adina Fleischmann, LSW, Director of Support Programs, is a graduate of Columbia University School of Social Work. Adina oversees Sharsheret’s support programs and guides their development, implementation, and evaluation. Adina advises and connects young women living with and at high risk of developing breast cancer or ovarian cancer with tailored support and resources.
Melissa K. Rosen, MA, Director of National Outreach, has a master’s degree in Jewish Communal Service from Brandeis University and has been working in the non-profit sector for over 25 years. Melissa oversees Sharsheret’s outreach efforts across the country, connecting women, families, and communities to Sharsheret’s cancer support and education programs. Herself a breast cancer survivor, Melissa is passionate about the Jewish community and cancer support and advocacy.
Sarah Eagle, Outreach Program Assistant, is a graduate of Brandeis University. As part of the education and outreach team, Sarah assists in the development and growth of Sharsheret’s core outreach programs, including working with local volunteers and preparing materials for programs and events.
Sharon Stahl, LMSW, Support Program Coordinator, is a graduate of Columbia University School of Social Work. Sharon provides young Jewish breast cancer survivors with navigation plans as well as educational resources. She also assists with coordinating and facilitating teleconferences and webinars for the Thriving Again program.
Shira Kravitz, LCSW, Support Program Assistant, a graduate of Columbia University School of Social Work, assists in the development and delivery of Sharsheret’s cancer support programs. Shira coordinates Sharsheret’s national health care symposia addressing critical issues for Jewish women and families facing breast cancer and ovarian cancer, including genetics, survivorship, nutrition, exercise, fertility, and emerging cancer research.
Sheila Solomon, MS, LGC, Genetics Program Coordinator, is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh’s Master of Science in Genetic Counseling program. At Sharsheret, Sheila consults with women and families and answers individual questions about their family histories, BRCA mutations, and personal risks of hereditary breast and ovarian cancer, and contributes to the development and implementation of Sharsheret’s hereditary cancer resources and programs.
Ellen Kleinhaus, EdM, MA, Director of Campus and Community Engagement, is a graduate of Columbia University's Teachers College. Ellen liaises with Alpha Epsilon Phi and Alpha Epsilon Pi - the largest Jewish sorority and fraternity - and cultivates Sharsheret's ongoing partnership with Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life and Chabad On Campus across the country. She also oversees Sharsheret's Bat/Bar Mitzvah program and coordinates Team Sharsheret at cancer walks and races, triathlons, and marathons in cities nationwide.
Dina Muskin Goldberg, Development Associate, is a graduate of Yeshiva University and was named one of the Jewish Week’s “36 Under 36.” Dina assists in all aspects of development and advancement, including grant writing, special events, and major gifts.
Sari Samuel, CPA, Controller, oversees Sharsheret's annual budget and financial matters.
Adina David, Office Manager, is a graduate of Rutgers University. Adina oversees maintenance of the office and supplies and manages administrative duties for the organization.
Mike Lowy, Technology Director, oversees network programming and database management. He also spearheads the development of Sharsheret's website and web-based services.
Fran Weinberg, Accounting Associate, assists in special events and fundraising initiatives.
Renee Blumenfeld, Technology Associate, assists in donation processing and database reporting.
