Celia Vogel A”H

Teaneck, New Jersey, August 2, 2016 – Sharsheret, a national not-for-profit organization dedicated to addressing the needs of women and families facing breast cancer and ovarian cancer, will host its 2nd Annual BBQ and Siyum (Judaic study celebration) on Wednesday, August 10th at 7:00PM at the Lawrence Yacht and Country Club. More than 400 women and men are expected to participate.

The event will begin with a tribute in memory to Celia Vogel A”H, an inspirational woman who faced ovarian cancer and was supported by her family and friends from the local community. Remarks by mother/daughter guest speakers, Joan Nathanson and Sheri Feldman will be followed by the newly released Sharsheret video “Sharsheret Partners For The Future.”

“This annual event, coordinated by the incredible Long Island Sharsheret Volunteer Committee expands and enhances our efforts on the local level,” said Executive Director Elana Silber. “By raising awareness, increasing critical support to those living with breast and ovarian cancer, and educating the broader Long Island communities, we will not only improve lives, we will ultimately save lives.”
