About Rochelle
Rochelle Shoretz, Sharsheret’s Executive Director and a two-time breast cancer survivor, founded Sharsheret in 2001 to connect young Jewish women fighting breast cancer following her own diagnosis at age 28. A Centennial Scholar graduate of Barnard College and a Kent Scholar graduate of Columbia Law School, Ms. Shoretz served as a law clerk in 1999 to United States Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
For her pioneering efforts in establishing Sharsheret, Ms. Shoretz was named a “Woman to Watch” by Jewish Woman Magazine and a Yoplait Champion in the Fight Against Breast Cancer, and was honored by the Philadelphia Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the Israel Cancer Research Foundation. She is a Board member and graduate of the Joshua Venture Group fellowship of young Jewish leaders and the Berrie Fellows Leadership Program of the UJA Federation of Northern NJ.
As the organization's Executive Director, Ms. Shoretz lectures about breast cancer before audiences across the country and serves as a resource for major media on issues related to breast cancer in young women.

About Elana
Elana Silber, Sharsheret’s Director of Operations, joined the organization as a volunteer in 2002 before becoming a staff member in 2003. A graduate of the Mount Sinai Hospital/CUNY Masters in Business Administration Programs, Ms. Silber coordinated conferences and outreach efforts for several hospitals in the New York area.
As the organization's Director of Operations, Ms. Silber supervises Sharsheret’s Outreach and Education Program, as well as its Quality of Life Programs. She coordinates major medical symposia on subjects including breast cancer genetics and survivorship. Ms. Silber also directs outreach events, parlor meetings, and speaking engagements nationwide, bringing Sharsheret to Jewish communities and health care professionals across the country.

About Shera
Shera Dubitsky, M.Ed., M.A., Sharsheret’s Clinical Supervisor, joined the organization as a volunteer in 2003 before becoming a staff member in 2005. An M.Ed./M.A. graduate of Columbia University and an M.A. graduate and doctoral candidate of Adelphi University Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies, Ms. Dubitsky served as a Psychology Resident and Fellow at the Bronx Psychiatric Center of the Albert Einstein School of Medicine, and an Associate Psychologist for the Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services. She has also worked as a Researcher at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
As Sharsheret’s Clinical Supervisor, Ms. Dubitsky assists women newly diagnosed and at high risk of developing breast cancer and provides supportive counseling to women living with metastatic breast cancer. She also assists in the advancement and development of programs and lectures on topics addressing the needs of the women of Sharsheret.

About Adina
Adina Fleischmann, L.S.W., Sharsheret's Link Program Coordinator, joined Sharsheret in 2009. A graduate of Columbia University School of Social Work with a concentration in Health, Mental Health and Disabilities, Ms. Fleischmann has served as an intern both in the Teaneck Public Schools and at Hackensack University Medical Center.
As Sharsheret's Link Program Coordinator, Ms. Fleischmann supports women newly diagnosed or at high risk of developing breast cancer by linking these women with others who have shared similar experiences. Ms. Fleischmann also assists in the development and innovation of various programs, lectures and resources that address the various needs of the women of Sharsheret, including expanding the services of Sharsheret to include women facing ovarian cancer.

About Ellen
Ellen Kleinhaus, Ed.M., M.A., Sharsheret’s Project Manager, joined the organization in 2005. A graduate of Columbia University’s Teachers College with a degree in Counseling Psychology and Organizational Psychology, Ms. Kleinhaus served as a Counseling Intern at Montclair State University in the Counseling and Psychological Services Department.
As the organization's Project Manager, Ms. Kleinhaus coordinates Sharsheret’s national education and outreach initiatives targeting students on campus, healthcare, Jewish, and women’s organizations. Ms. Kleinhaus also organizes national teleconferences, medical symposia and fundraising projects including annual Benefit Luncheon and Team Sharsheret at Race for the Cure.

About Mike
Mike Lowy, Sharsheret’s Technology Coordinator, joined the organization in 2008. Mr. Lowy has served as an IT Analyst and Manager to various corporations.
As the organization's Technology Coordinator, Mr. Lowy maintains databases and network programming to increase the efficiency and administration of Sharsheret’s national programs and events. He also spearheads the development of Sharsheret’s website and web-based services.

About Niecee
Niecee Singer Schonberger, M.S., C.G.C. graduated from Sarah Lawrence College with a Master of Science in Human Genetics. She has provided genetic counseling in all aspects of genetics, from pre-natal to pediatric to infertility to adult onset disorders and, for the past 10 years, has focused on cancer genetics. She has been published widely on various subjects and is a founding member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors. Ms. Schonberger is a past president of the Human Genetics Association of New Jersey and has served on many committees and organizations dedicated to the education of the public and physicians regarding the importance of genetics in every aspect of health.
As Sharsheret’s Genetics Program Coordinator, Ms. Schonberger provides supportive counseling, information, and resources regarding hereditary breast cancer to women diagnosed and at high risk of developing breast cancer. She also assists in the advancement and development of the Genetics for Life program.

About Rebecca
Rebecca Schwartz, Sharsheret’s Manger of Volunteer Services, joined the organization in 2004. A graduate of Stern College, Ms. Schwartz has served as a Sales and Human Resources Assistant and a newspaper intern. Ms. Schwartz currently serves on the Board of Directors for the New York Association for Volunteer Administration as well as on the organization’s Communications and Professional Development Committees, where she plans networking events and professional development workshops for volunteer managers.
As the organization's Manager of Volunteer Services, Ms. Schwartz directs Sharsheret’s National Volunteer Program, working closely with volunteers, both national and local, to match their skills with appropriate volunteer opportunities. She also spearheads the outreach efforts of Sharsheret’s National Advisory Board, a coalition of leadership volunteers, and coordinates the Bat and Bar Mitzvah Program.
