People impacted by cancer and their loved ones are invited to learn how these trials are structured. In addition\, learn how to foster an open dialogue with their health care team about the eligibility and the viability of clinical trials as a treatment option. Participants will learn about the importance of shared decision making and will be introduced to resources to help facilitate these conversations. Deirdre Cohen\, Director\, Clinical Trials Office at NYU Perlmutter Cancer Center will be presenting on this topic. All Gilda’s Club NYC educational programs are free and open to the public.
