SUMMARY:Sharsheret Pink & Teal Shabbat
DESCRIPTION:Join Westchester Reform Temple and hear from Jordana Beck\, a recent Breast Cancer survivor. Jordana was diagnosed with triple negative Stage 2 Breast Cancer in October 2018 while she was 11 weeks pregnant with her son. With early detection and incredible advancements in medicine\, she and her son were able to receive the proper treatment to make sure everyone remained healthy. After a single mastectomy and 10 chemotherapy treatments\, she delivered a healthy baby boy on April 25th\, 2019\, and finished with 6 more treatments immediately after this past June. She then completed her treatment with 28 radiation sessions. She still has a few preventative procedures to complete but she is currently cancer free!\nOn this special Shabbat we partner with Sharsheret\, a Jewish organization that raises awareness of breast cancer in the Jewish community and provides support for survivors and their loved ones.
