Broadway’s Best for Breast Cancer: The Healing Power of Intimacy and Creativity

Join Sharsheret Community Partner, the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan, as we welcome Broadway star Mandy Gonzalez (Hamilton, Wicked and In the Heights), Caroline Kohles, JCC Senior Director of Health and Wellness, for a virtual series to celebrate life and foster learning. Meet Mandy’s friends and fellow Broadway performers from the comfort of your own home and watch them perform. Hear from top health and wellness experts about resilience, the power of movement and music to heal, sexuality and creativity, and the impact of nutrition and healthy lifestyle on cancer recovery. The June 15th session will feature James Monroe Iglehart, (Hamilton, Aladdin), Dr. Bat-Sheva Marcus, Clinical Director of MAZE Women’s Sexual Health, and Kathy Washburn, a life coach, cancer survivor and founder of Carved by Cancer, a support network for cancer survivors. Dr. Alison Estabrook will also offer up to date medical information and our own Melissa Rosen, Director of Community Education will answer questions on the need for support during a cancer experience.
