A supportive network for cancer care.
Facing breast cancer or ovarian cancer, or even just wondering what your family history means, can feel overwhelming. Sharsheret ensures no one navigates it alone. We walk with you through every stage of the cancer journey, providing emotional support, practical guidance, and culturally-relevant awareness of Jewish identity, family life and more.
Emotional support
A trained Sharsheret social worker can connect with you individually to listen, help you process the emotional impact and offer personalized suggestions for next steps.
You get:
- Someone to talk to who understands
- Information explained in gentle, clear language
- Guidance that reflects your values, decisions and pace
Peer support
We may match you with someone who has been through a similar diagnosis, stage of life, treatment path, or emotional journey.
Individuals who have been there will provide:
- “I’ve been there” understanding
- Coping strategies
- Advice, connections, and insight for doctors you’re considering using
- A chance to feel seen, understood and less alone
Genetic conversations
Whether you’re BRCA+, curious about testing, or navigating family history, our team meets where you are emotionally and informationally.
We’ll provide:

- Family conference calls to include loved ones
Financial assistance resources
Finances shouldn’t be an additional worry that comes with a cancer diagnosis.
