“What’s Jewish about Breast Cancer?” at Leo Baeck Yom Limmud

February 4, 2017 @ 1:45 pm - 3:00 pm EST

Join Sharsheret for a panel discussion at Leo Baeck’s Day of Learning with LA Regional Director, Jenna Fields, and HeritX founder Joi Morris. Together we’ll explore what’s inherently Jewish about cancer and the role the BRCA gene mutation plays in our Jewish story. We’ll hear personal stories of the difficult decisions men and women face and brainstorm together how we can become a stronger source of support as a community. We will also explore how new research is changing the future of living with the cancer risk of BRCA genes by focusing on ways to prevent these cancers in both men and women. This is an all-day event. The Sharsheret panel will be held from 1:45pm-3pm. Register here.
