Sharsheret and the Cancer Care Program of the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan are proud to announce a new aspect to our longstanding partnership. Facing cancer is challenging. You’ve exercised at the JCC, you’ve joined nutrition classes, and even participated in Spa Day for patients and survivors. They have all helped. But maybe additional support can help too. Cancer is more than a physical experience. It is also an emotional experience. And for some it is a spiritual experience. Sharsheret now works with the JCC’s Cancer Care Program to provide free, customized, and confidential support to all impacted by breast cancer, ovarian cancer, or those living with higher diagnostic risk. Sharsheret’s team of social workers and a genetic counselor, answer questions, provide emotional support, connect callers to a variety of resources, and more. Together the JCC and Sharsheret can provide a comprehensive array support programs to meet all your psychosocial needs throughout your cancer experience. Sharsheret is a Jewish non-profit organization that provides support regardless of background, race, gender, sexual orientation, age, or religion.
