Join the Sharsheret Book Club as we speak with Dr. Rivkie Zeidman, author of Secrets Are No Fun. This unique book was written to help young girls understand and deal with a family member’s breast cancer diagnosis. Inspired by true events, the author, daughter of a breast cancer survivor, describes the journey of Arianna Goodman as she grapples with her mother’s diagnosis, navigates the halls of junior high, and learns how to rely on her friends and family to stay positive during this difficult time.
Also joining us is Shera Dubitsky, M.Ed, MA, who serves as an advisor to Sharsheret’s Medical Advisor Board. Shera will discuss supporting children through a parent’s diagnosis.
This program is presented with support from Sharsheret’s Young Professionals Circle (YPC).
