Neera Kimmel
Neera has been a passionate Sharsheret volunteer since its inception. She is a high school science teacher and heads Sharsheret Pink Day and Breast Cancer Awareness Month events in her community. In addition, she networks with local businesses in her neighborhood to spread the word about Sharsheret and its many services and programs. Her knowledge of and involvement with Sharsheret became personally useful when she received her own diagnosis of being a BRCA-2 positive carrier. Through her volunteerism, she hopes she will be able to better educate the public, be a resource for others and inspire others to make informed decisions. Neera lives in Woodmere, NY with her husband and family.
