Stacey Lieberman

Stacey Lieberman is a mom of 2 young children both in the same grade-who are not twins.  She is a fertility warrior who enjoys sharing her motherhood journey.  Stacey is a lawyer by trade and spent many years litigating before transitioning to a transactional in house attorney at a company.  Recently, she took a break from law and started an organization business.

Before children, Stacey was an avid runner.  She completed 7 full marathons and more than a dozen half marathons.  She raised money for cancer research each time she ran a marathon. These days, Stacey loves to exercise, but is doing a lot more walking than running!  However, she set a goal to run a half marathon for Team Sharsheret!

In February 2023, Stacey learned she carried the BRCA1 genetic mutation. This news was shocking to Stacey because she was unaware of any family history of cancer.  Between August and October 2023, Stacey underwent a prophylactic double mastectomy and immediate reconstruction and a prophylactic complete hysterectomy. Stacey and her family received support from Sharsheret during her surgeries and recovery.

Stacey joined Sharsheret’s Florida Advisory Committee to encourage her Ashkenazi sisters to learn more about their family histories and take proactive life-saving measures.  Stacey shares her personal story openly, and speaks on behalf of Sharsheret, encouraging families’ to engage in life-saving conversations, speak to a genetics counselor and to pursue genetic testing, if appropriate.
