Sharsheret in Israel

Sharsheret’s free, confidential and personalized virtual support is now available for English-speaking women, men and families in Israel.

With Israel-based Sharsheret professionals and volunteers, women and families in Israel can access confidential and local one-on-one emotional support and mental health counseling, patient navigation to work through the complex Israeli medical system, and peer support to connect with other Israeli women facing similar diagnoses.

Liora Tannenbaum

Liora Tannenbaum, MA, was born and raised in the United States and made Aliyah 18 years ago after completing her Masters degree in Art Therapy from the School of Visual Arts. She has worked with various NGOs in Israel in the areas of outreach, education and emotional support, and most recently has worked with Sharsheret Pilot partner Haverut. Her journey as a BRCA1 mutation carrier has led her to be a voice for the community and the need for support. She currently lives in Raanana with her husband, four children and dog. In her role at Sharsheret, she supports women and families in Israel facing breast cancer, ovarian cancer, and hereditary risk for cancer.

Dina Selter

Dina Selter, MSW, was born and raised in the United States and made aliyah after earning her Master’s degree in Social Work from the Wurzweiler School of Social Work. She has worked in Israel as a social worker with various at-risk populations and has been involved in outreach and education initiatives both in the U.S. and Israel. In her role at Sharsheret, Dina provides support to women and families in Israel who are facing breast cancer, ovarian cancer, or hereditary cancer risk.
