Narrative Storytelling for Cancer Thrivers
After a cancer diagnosis, people navigate both hard-fought victories and stories of pain and loss in their journeys. Learning how to be a careful observer of both beauty and sorrow in literature and art, and then writing about the experience can help you reflect on the stories that shape your own journey. Join Sharsheret and Kathy Riley, Cancer Support Community’s Associate Director of Programs, who is herself a long-time pediatric oncology caregiver and advocate, for a 60- minute Narrative Medicine workshop. Engaging in this Narrative Storytelling exercise may help you connect more deeply to your own story and the stories of others on a similar path.
The first 35 registrants located in the Los Angeles area will receive a free kit in the mail. Limited supplies available.
This program is for adults in treatment, survivorship, or those at increased risk.
